The club was formed in Alberta, Canada in 1993 for promotion and betterment of the American Eskimo breed. The club hosted two weekend shows per year (each consisting of two to three shows per weekend). New members were always welcome. The Club has now changed to a Multi-Breed club, called Kandu Kennel Club.
